La pandemia ha messo a dura prova l’attuazione del diritto all’informazione dei cittadini, il rapporto tra tutela della privacy e diritto alla salute e il concetto stesso di fonte istituzionale.

Il mondo del giornalismo durante il Covid-19 si è notevolmente trasformato, sia nella produzione che nella diffusione dei contenuti e per lunghi tratti si è fortemente appiattito sul pensiero dei cosiddetti esperti, che però hanno spesso contribuito a disinformare e a confondere i cittadini, anziché fornire loro informazioni riconducibili a evidenze scientifiche.

Questo scritto intende affrontare alcuni nodi ancora irrisolti per quanto riguarda la definizione del concetto di verità nell’ambito dell’informazione medico-scientifica e l’attivazione di meccanismi di virtuoso bilanciamento tra diritti fondamentali in situazioni emergenziali.

The pandemic has put a strain on the implementation of citizens’ right to information, the relationship between the protection of privacy and the right to health and the very concept of an institutional source.

The world of journalism during the Covid-19 has significantly transformed, both in the production and dissemination of content and for long stretches it has strongly flattened on the thinking of the so-called experts, who however have often contributed to misinforming and confusing citizens, rather than providing their information attributable to scientific evidence. This paper intends to address some still unresolved issues regarding the definition of the concept of truth in the field of medical-scientific information and the activation.
